Hifas Jewellery is the shop front of Mujahith Royal Gold & Gems, a family of goldsmiths working from ateliers in Kalmunai and Colombo.
Our story
What began as a single goldsmith's bench has grown over more than twenty years into two ateliers and a shop trusted by over a hundred thousand customers across Sri Lanka. Every piece is still made the way it was at the start: drawn, twisted, soldered and finished by hand.
We make bridal sets, harams, bangles and kadas, jhumkas, rings and chains in 22 karat gold, and gem set pieces in 18 karat. Most families come to us for a wedding, and many come back for the next one.
What we promise
- Honest gold. Every 22K piece is assayed and NGJA hallmarked 916. 24K is 999.
- Honest prices. Each price is worked out from that day's gold rate, the gold weight and a stated making charge. Nothing is hidden in the total.
- Weighed in front of you. You get a slip with the purity, the weight and the rate used.
- Exchange for life. Bring any piece back and we value its gold at that day's buy back rate.
Our craft
Our goldsmiths work in the techniques Sri Lankan and South Asian jewellery is known for: Kandyan filigree, temple rawa granulation, mugappu rope work and gem setting with Ceylon sapphires, rubies and emeralds.
