What is my old gold worth?
Bring old jewellery to a branch to sell it or exchange it for a new piece. We test its purity in front of you and pay at today's buy back rate.
This is an estimate. The final value depends on the purity we test at the counter, and stones are not included.
How to read these rates
- Karat and purity. 24K (999) is pure gold, sold as coins and bars. 22K (916) is the standard for Sri Lankan jewellery. 18K (750) is harder and holds stones well.
- Per pawn. One pawn (sovereign) is 8 grams, the usual unit for gold jewellery in Sri Lanka.
- Selling and buy back. The selling rate is what you pay for gold in a new piece. The buy back rate is what we pay for old gold.
- Jewellery price. A piece costs its gold weight at the selling rate, plus a making charge for the work, plus any stones. How our prices work.
