Terms of sale
How our prices work, how an order becomes a sale, and what happens if something changes.

Prices
- Every price is worked out from that day's gold rate for the piece's purity, its gold weight, a making charge stated as a percentage of the gold value, and the value of any stones. The product page shows the breakdown.
- Rates are set each morning, so prices on the website change from day to day.
- The price on your order is the price on the day you place it. We hold that price while we confirm the order with you.
- Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees and include our making charge. Delivery is shown separately at checkout.
Orders
- Placing an order on the website reserves the pieces. It is not a sale yet: we confirm every order with you on WhatsApp or by phone first.
- The sale is agreed once we confirm availability, the final price and the payment and delivery method with you.
- If a piece sells in our branch before we confirm your order, we tell you straight away and offer a similar piece or to make one.
- An order we have not been able to confirm within 7 days is cancelled.
Weights and handmade pieces
Every piece is handmade, so a made to order piece can differ slightly in weight from the one shown. We weigh it again when it is finished, and the price follows the actual weight. If the difference is more than you expected, you can decline the piece.
Purity
Our 22 karat gold is 91.6% pure and NGJA hallmarked 916. 24 karat is 99.9% pure. Each piece comes with a slip giving its purity, weight and the rate used.
Payment
We agree the payment method with you when we confirm your order: bank transfer, or card or cash at a branch. Pieces are dispatched or handed over once payment is received in full.
Cancellations
- You can cancel an order at any time before it is confirmed, free of charge.
- After confirmation, an order for a piece in stock can be cancelled before dispatch. Made to order and resized pieces cannot be cancelled once work has started.

Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
